This is the third of five SPAS regular Tuesday morning bird walks.
Nestled along the shores of Silver Lake, and with a focus on arts and the environment, Silverwood Park is unique in the metro area. Minutes from a busy freeway, it offers visitors an opportunity to relax in tranquil beauty, provides inspiration for artists, and has a welcoming coffee shop.
Directions: Silverwood Park is located at 2500 County Road E, off Silver Lake Road along the border of St Anthony and New Brighton. The most direct accesses to Silver Lake Road from a distance are to go west on County Road D from 35W then north on Silver Lake Road, or go south on Silver Lake Road from I-694. From either north or south, go west onto County Road E and the park entrance will be on the left.
Special Instructions: Meet at the main parking lot. Paved trails. Restrooms available. Bring binoculars and field guide.
