Join the St. Paul Audubon Society and the St. Croix River Association (SCRA) for Breakfast and Birding at the Afton State Park Visitor Center. We will enjoy locally roasted coffee and fresh pastries from 8:00 – 8:30am and then let the birding begin!
Expert St. Paul Audubon trip leaders will guide small groups of participants on the beautiful state park trails and share their knowledge of birding and offer tips and advice while we observe birds in the field. There will be a limited number of binoculars for participants to use.
Trip Rating: This will be a gentle and slow hike and an excellent opportunity for beginning birders.
- Comfortable, closed toe shoes for hiking, comfortable clothing and layers (appropriate for the weather). Sun Protection: hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, Water bottle, binoculars if you have them or a few pair will be available to borrow for the walk.
- Consider bringing insect repellent and a bird field guide

Cost: The event is free, and donations will be accepted.
Entrance to the Park requires a $7 state park day use fee or annual MN park sticker.
