Long Lake Prairie in Bloom
Early summer prairie flowers are a delight to behold!
Come enjoy some delightful, blooming, summer prairie plants at this easily accessible location. Several years ago a restored prairie was begun in this location. It has matured well and the diversity is notable.
Prairie birds and other friendly creatures, including butterflies and other pollinators, rely on these native plants for their very existence. Mid-July usually is sort of midway in the prairie bloom period. The walk is short on level but slightly uneven ground.
