A Monthly Morning Walk with Linda

Join Linda Whyte on this second of a series of monthly walks to see what is happening on property special enough to be put into conservation easement with the MN DNR.

Linda is an enthusiastic naturalist and SPAS field trip leader. She is very familiar with the many inhabitants of this unique area.

Visiting a special place repeatedly is often recommended, for it is with familiarity of a special place that develops interest, love, and care for its many seasonal and annual faces. With Linda’s leadership, you may learn ways to help you explore your Special Places.

The Rachel C Lily Preserve is a portion of Dodge Nature Center that has been placed in Conservation Easement. It is located on MN Highway 110, between Dodd Road and Delaware Avenue in Mendota Heights. Parking is available in the parking lot of the Mendota Heights United Church of Christ, 680 MN Hwy 110, 55118, on the south side of the road.

Park near the red barn and meet in the parking lot.

Children accompanied by their adults are welcome; best for Adults and youth 8 and older.

Special Instructions Dress for the weather and be prepared for bugs. There might be some off trail brief excursions depending on what is happening in the natural world.
