Birds and Blooms with Wild Ones

Come view and learn about resident birds and blooms in spectacular settings!

Come for part of all of the day.

Here is the scoop and the schedule:
Join the Wild Ones organized tour of Carpenter Nature Center (CNC),

beginning with the 8 am bird walk led by Chase Davies of the St Paul Audubon Society. We will return in time for the guided tour of CNC.

And/or gather at the Visitors Center at 9:45 am for refreshments and a guided tour of the adjacent water garden landscaped with native plants. Designer and project manager Diane Hilscher will be our guide.

Then we’ll move on through the nature center’s trails, down to the St Croix riverbank. Brown bag picnic lunch to follow.

After lunch we’ll drive a short distance north for a 1:30 pm tour of Out Back Nursery and Landscaping. Our host will be Erik Olsen, landscape designer with Out Back and Wild Ones member. Members of the Twin Cities chapter of Wild Ones as well as Saint Paul Audubon have been invited.

Difficulty: Easy bird walk and Outback Nursery tour; moderate walk down to the river and return.
